Modern Slavery Statement
Movers Bow Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement sets out the steps Movers Bow has taken, and will continue to take, to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in our business operations or in our supply chains. Movers Bow recognises its responsibility to act ethically and with integrity in all business relationships, and to implement and enforce effective systems and controls to safeguard against modern slavery.
Our Zero-Tolerance Approach
Movers Bow has a clear and unequivocal zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery and human trafficking. Modern slavery, in all its forms, including forced labour, debt bondage, child labour, human trafficking and any form of exploitation, is strictly prohibited within our organisation and supply chain.
All employees, contractors and suppliers are expected to act in line with our values and our zero-tolerance stance. Any breach of this policy is treated as a serious matter and may result in disciplinary action, termination of contracts or referral to the relevant authorities where appropriate.
Our Business and Supply Chain
Movers Bow provides moving and related services to a wide range of clients. Our supply chain includes, but is not limited to, providers of equipment, vehicles, packaging materials, warehousing, facilities management and professional services. We recognise that risks related to modern slavery can exist at different stages of the supply chain, particularly where there is use of temporary, agency or low-skilled labour.
We are committed to working only with suppliers and partners who share our commitment to ethical labour practices, fair treatment of workers and compliance with all applicable labour and human rights laws.
Supplier Audits and Due Diligence
To reduce the risk of modern slavery within our supply chain, Movers Bow undertakes proportionate due diligence and supplier oversight activities. These include pre-engagement assessments to evaluate a supplier’s labour standards, working conditions and compliance record, as well as ongoing review during the life of the relationship.
We conduct periodic supplier audits, which may include document reviews, site visits and worker interviews where appropriate and feasible. Our audits are designed to identify indicators of forced labour, exploitation or unsafe working conditions. Where higher risk is identified, we may increase the frequency or depth of our audits and require clear corrective action plans.
Failure to cooperate with audits, or evidence of non-compliance with our anti-slavery requirements, may lead to suspension, non-renewal or termination of the business relationship.
Policies, Training and Awareness
Our zero-tolerance stance is supported by internal policies covering ethical conduct, human rights, recruitment and whistleblowing. Managers responsible for procurement, recruitment and operations receive guidance to help them identify potential risks of modern slavery and to respond appropriately to any concerns.
We work to raise awareness among employees and key suppliers about the signs of modern slavery, the importance of ethical sourcing and the responsibilities each individual has in preventing exploitation.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
Movers Bow encourages all employees, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to report any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery or human trafficking in our business or supply chain. Concerns can be raised through established internal reporting channels, including line managers or senior management, as well as through our whistleblowing mechanisms, which allow issues to be reported confidentially.
All reports are taken seriously and will be investigated promptly and impartially. We are committed to protecting anyone who raises a concern in good faith from retaliation or detrimental treatment. Where investigations identify issues, we will take appropriate remedial and preventive actions, which may involve engaging with suppliers, improving controls or notifying relevant authorities.
Monitoring, Annual Review and Continuous Improvement
Movers Bow recognises that the fight against modern slavery requires ongoing vigilance and continuous improvement. We monitor the effectiveness of our measures through audit findings, incident reports, feedback from stakeholders and changes in legal or best practice standards.
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is reviewed at least annually by our leadership team to ensure it remains current, effective and aligned with our risk profile and regulatory requirements. As part of this review, we assess our policies, training, due diligence processes and supplier engagement activities, and we identify opportunities to strengthen our approach.
By publishing this statement, Movers Bow reaffirms its commitment to maintaining a responsible and transparent business, promoting respect for human rights and working actively to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of our operations and supply chains.
